Eldorado East Ridge
31 August - 2 September 2001:
No Myth

Finally, around 2pm, it began to clear, or at least chase on up the mountain. We agreed to pack up and move as far as we could, hoping to hit high camp within 2-3 hours. My only thought was that I seriously hoped we wouldn't climb up into the same crap higher.

I should mention that if we had not moved up to the bivy the night before, the climb would have been a complete washout, literally and figuratively speaking. We were at least in position to move up in a reasonable amount of time to high camp. I don't think we'd have been able to do it from base this late.

We were packed and ready in half an hour.
