The object of early morning hate.
James and I were quickly packed and ready to go, except for one thing: water. And for that, we needed to melt snow. And the stove was just incredibly slow. It was a mistake on our part, one we would get right next time. We should have done all the boiling we could the night before. We had been tired, it had been snowing, we didn't want to deal (if we had been in a tent I would have brought the hanging stove and we could have boiled water all night). As it was it took us almost two hours to melt snow and boil four liters of water. It put a serious nick in the clock. We got out of camp as soon as we could, which wasn't until 10am, unfortunately. Which is way too late. |
