I had told James to go ahead and head up, that I, unlike others, wouldn't get lost. I was moving extremely slowly now, on account of the foot, you see. It had gotten really bad (but not so bad that it would incapicitate me - I knew better than to let it go that far). But, James, as he always has, waited patiently while I dragged ass on up the hill.
It was pretty amazing to see Marcy without snow. A completely different experience. Normally, in winter conditions, there is simply one continuous snow ridge. Neither James nor I had seen the Daks in a season other than winter. |
