Bivy.

[I apologize for the photographic quality, or lack thereof, of the rest of the photographs in this trip report. Evidently something got on the lens of my camera. Visibility was poor, but it wasn't quite as bad as these shots look. Unfortunately, the effect rendered numerous important shots unusable. Sorry. Hope you can bear with me.]

We made the decision to dig in to a moat on the west side of the bluffs in the Gulch. This was only a couple hundred feet above where Craig was found. In no time we were in a virtual whiteout. But it was a safe site, and we went to work digging out platforms for Bruce and Em, Jeff K. and my tents, and Jeff H.'s bivy sack.
