Up and Down and All Around

A party rapping the route.

There were two guys who were on their way down from completing the first pitch of Hitchcock and then moving out to the slabs to the left, between the first and second pitches of the route. One of them commented about the sketchy mixed lead we were now facing, describing it as "very awkward," "tenuous," and mentioned a definte "lack of pro." There are a several ways to get up the pitch, which, again, is the crux of the route.

Brian: I was really excited at this point. My confidence was high and things ahead looked interesting and challenging but not overly difficult. I think I actually said that it looked "easy." We waited for a bit while another party rapped by and then I headed up.
