Leading the easy final pitch. I came up over the ice bulge and saw nothing but snow and told Brian I was going to run until the rope ran out. I placed one screw at the bulge and slung a broken twig about two-thirds of the way up. There was no way it would have held a fall. I was simply using it to keep the ropes from snarling in the undergrowth starting to show through the receding snow. I rigged a nice little hanging belay from a birch and called that I was off.
