Polaroid Surprise

Here I am, getting in handstand position, preparing to spray my predator.

The route went at maybe NEI 2, the way we did it. If snow free you'd probably find something comparable to Willey's Slide: iced-up slabs up the middle of the route. All of the slabs were covered in a 3"-6" layer of snow, so we padded easily up most all of the route solo.

Brian and I did have a brief challenge with a perhaps 5' high rock step that was very thinly covered in ice and snow. Brian took a line to my left, and we played a mutual game of Let's See Who Falls Off On His Ass First for a few seconds, but we managed to make the moves mostly without incident. It was probably the hardest climbing we did all trip.
