I only spent a few minutes on top before heading down. The Webster Trail was very nicely packed out and I practically ran down, with several enjoyable glissades, and one Folsbury Flop. I did manage to ID the tree Brian had mangled last year after we'd done Shoestring Gully. It bore a scar that said, "You are a Mean Man, Mr. Connors."
The maples scream oppression!
So anyway, after coming down, shooting from the road: that's Shoestring on the right, and far to the left, the big gully that cuts up right, then sharp left - that's Horseshoe Gully. Which I didn't do. That crap in the middle? That would be me. |
