New England Ice Climbing, 7-9 January 2000

The second pitch on Hitchcock Gully, which I cruised. My main goal on this trip was to get comfortable on ice. I didn't really care how fast I climbed, but I wanted to get to the point where I was just thinking about climbing and not thinking about falling. I was pleased that I accomplished this goal on the trip. It's great when you can just think about the best way to get up a pitch, rather than constantly obsessing about the worst way you could fall down it.
