Brian skins up the cat track on Panorama Dome.
I'll confess we got a little, not badly, but slightly off-route here. We noted a relatively obvious area where it would be possible to head into Austin Pass on the way up, but elected to keep heading uphill, thinking that the trailhead might be just around the corner. Before long we were catching sight of ski lifts, and we knew we'd gone too far. We backtracked and eventually found a suitable, if steep, walkdown to the valley floor below. We figure the trailhead was probably buried (we did find a Bellingham Mountaineers picket that had just melted out at the pass crest - go on up if you want it).
We thought we saw a boot track below, and that, among other factors, beckoned us down. When we got down there we realized what we were seeing was simply trenching in the snow from meltwater. It was no matter. We were [reasonably] sure we were where we needed to be.
