THE GARDEN Keene Valley, NY Death of a Snowshoe About four miles from the truck my left snowshoe gave up the ghost. The binding ripped completely from the deck. It had been held together by accessory cord and duct tape. Oh well. MSR is replacing both shoes. We did the approximately 8.5 mi. walk out in just under 4.5 hrs. Which goes to show you one thing and one thing only: if nothing else, we know how to bail. |
