Calcifying tendonitis of the rotator cuff
...and a fairly advanced case I have, evidently.
The leading recommendation at the moment is surgery. These guys just love to cut stuff up, don't they? I see an ortho, for more information gathering, hopefully this week. We may try some pain management and physical therapy in the mean time. If I do decide to go forward with an operation, it can luckily be done arthroscopically. It's just a question of when's the best time (read: never) and how long I'll be laid up. Evidently, I'm in bad company. I'll try to avoid leading us into any unnecessary wars.
I haven't played the guitar in nearly a week. I don't expect to record until late-November, at earliest, at this point (still a big if). I have a few gigs between now and then that I'm going to do everything I can to play. Come on out and hear me howl. Perhaps literally.
Le sigh.
Anyhoo.
Blah.
Blah.
Blah?
Don't mind if I do.
