He's Up to Something...
posted: 03/27/07

The Ill Chronicles continue. I'm severely under the influence of Benadryl. This last couple of months have been total crap on the health front; one ailment after another (sinus infection, food poisoning, cold, general malaise). Maybe if I occasionally went outside and moved around semi-vigorously (I'm thinking something like falling face-first into a pile of leaves, that sort of thing) I'd fare a little better.

I'll make a note of it.

Last night, after seven months or so in the new place, I set up my little home recording studio. It took me maybe half an hour. I'd been dreading dealing with all of the cords and stuff - I developed a cable phobia at a very young age, when I crawled behind the TV and got tangled up in the cords and connectors, the fire department had to come out, it was a bad scene - and I've been putting it off. But I'd been holed up for the last couple of days, chain-ingesting antihistamines, and I figured that in my altered state - moreover impervious, surrounded by a curious aura (who needs a shower? After three days the answer is: me) - it just might be the thing to do. So I did it.

stop me before i twang again.

I took the time, about 20 minutes, to record demos of a few pieces I've been working on for the new record. I'm looking forward to getting that effort off the ground soon. I'd say I'm about halfway through the writing stage, and I'm currently thinking that I'll begin recording soon after the first of the year. Stay tuned....

In the mean time, why don't you head over to my friend Kevin's new site, Nondependant.com. Kevin sure is a bright and thoughtful geek of a man, if I may say so myself. He built the thing (as he always does) himself. I'm not entirely sure what he's trying to do over there, but it sure smells like something. Basmati rice cooked in chicken stock, I think it is.

It could be tonight, it could be later than that. But soon, very soon, I will come for you.

But not yet.

P.S. I'm completely out of food.
